Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Baal Co., Ltd., of Urban Village, Hun Sen Boulevard, Prek Tanou Village, Sangkat Chak Angrae Lue, Khan Mean Chey, Phnom Penh Capital, 120601, Cambodia, handles personal information. We are the data controller for the information described below.

What this website collects

www.baal.asia is hosted on Cloudflare. It has no accounts, no shopping cart and no payment facility. It collects information in four ways:

• The quote form. When you press Email, WhatsApp or Telegram on the form, what you typed is sent to our website: your name, email address, phone number with its country code, Telegram username if you gave one, the service you chose, your rough budget if you gave one, and your message. With it go the page you were on, the page that referred you, the time, and, if you arrived from an advertisement, the campaign parameters that were in the link you clicked (these are kept in your browser for the visit so they are still available when you reach the form). The website emails all of this to us and sends a short confirmation to the email address you gave. Both emails are delivered by Mailgun (Mailgun Technologies, Inc., United States), which processes them on our behalf and keeps delivery logs for a short period. We do not store the enquiry in any database; it exists as the email in our mailbox. If you choose WhatsApp or Telegram, the form also opens that app with the same message ready for you to send, and nothing goes to that app until you press send there. To keep out automated abuse the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser and connection in the background and rarely asks anyone to do anything, and a hidden field that people never see or fill in.
• Analytics and advertising measurement. The site uses Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta Pixel to understand how visitors use it and which advertisements bring people here. These set cookies and similar identifiers and send usage data (pages viewed, links clicked, whether a form was sent, device and browser details, an approximate location) to Google and Meta. See "Cookies" below.
• Visitor monitoring. The site loads a small script from tawk.to (tawk.to Inc., United States) that lets us see, as it happens, who is on the site: an approximate location worked out from your IP address, the pages you view and how long you stay, and your device and browser. It sets cookies so it can tell a returning visitor from a new one. We use it only to watch how the site is being used. Its chat window is switched off, so nothing appears on the page and nothing you type is sent through it. Like the analytics cookies, it is switched off in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland until you choose "Accept" (see "Cookies" below). tawk.to's privacy policy is attawk.to/privacy-policy.
• Hosting logs. Cloudflare processes standard server request data, such as IP addresses, for security and to keep the site available.

Messaging us on Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, by email or by phone is governed by those services' own terms and privacy policies as well as this one.

Cookies and your choices

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a small notice appears on your first visit and analytics and advertising cookies are switched off until you choose "Accept". Elsewhere they are on by default and no notice is shown. To decide which applies, the site uses the country that Cloudflare reports for your connection; if that cannot be determined, the notice is shown. Wherever you are, you can make or change your choice here:

Your choice is remembered in your browser. Declining does not affect the quote form or the rest of the site.

Google's use of data is described atpolicies.google.com/technologies/partner-sitesand Meta's atfacebook.com/privacy/policy. All three companies may transfer data outside Cambodia.

What else we collect

Beyond the website, we hold information you choose to send us when you get in touch or engage us for work. Typically that is:

• your name and the name of your business;
• your contact details — email address, phone number, Telegram or WhatsApp handle;
• billing details needed to raise an invoice, and the details of what you have been invoiced for;
• whatever information about your project, systems and data you send us so we can do the work.

We do not receive or store your card details. Card payments are handled entirely by our bank's payment gateway; we only ever see whether a payment succeeded.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry, quote for work, carry out the work, invoice you and take payment, to meet our accounting and tax obligations, and to measure whether our advertising works. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing to people who have not asked for it.

Consent

We store and use your information on the basis of your consent, given when you send the form, contact us or engage us for work, and to perform the agreement between us and meet our legal obligations. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing company@baal.asia. Withdrawing it does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it, and we may still need to keep records the law requires us to retain.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We share it only where a job or the law requires it — for example with our bank and payment provider to process a payment, with hosting and software providers we use to deliver the work, with our accountants, and with regulators or authorities where we are legally obliged. Enquiries sent through the quote form pass through Cloudflare (hosting and Turnstile) and Mailgun (email delivery); messages you send us through Telegram, WhatsApp or Messenger pass through those services. Where a job requires an international transfer, we limit it to what is needed to complete that job.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries, as email in our mailbox, and project and correspondence records for as long as we are working with you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Invoices and accounting records are kept for as long as Cambodian tax and accounting law requires. After that we delete or anonymise them. Analytics and visitor data is retained by Google, Meta and tawk.to according to their settings, which we keep at the shortest option they offer.

Keeping it secure

We hold your information on access-controlled systems and limit access to people who need it to do the work. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect what you give us.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email company@baal.asia and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to keep records we are legally required to retain, and we will tell you if that applies.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the page and the date shown at the top of it.
